Transfer Request

New transfer applications will be available on our website beginning Monday, April 20th, through Friday, September 4th.

The following grade levels are full and closed to transfers for the 2026-2027 school year:

• 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th

Transfer applications for these grade levels will not be accepted or processed.

If you apply for more than one student, each application is evaluated individually. Approval of one student does not guarantee approval of another. Families may need to decide whether to enroll students in different schools if only some students are accepted. (Please note that Pre-K and Kindergarten transfer applications will be reviewed and notification of acceptance or denial will be sent before the first day of school.) 

For 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 9th, 11th, and 12th:

• · 1st notification of acceptance or denial will be on Monday, June 29th
• · 2nd notification of acceptance or denial will be on Monday, July 20th
• · All remaining applications will be processed and notified weekly until the transfer application for new students closes for the school year on Friday, September 4th

The District does not maintain a waitlist for closed grade levels unless otherwise posted. The District is under no obligation to create additional capacity, add staff, or exceed established class-size targets in order to accommodate transfer requests.

The District considers interdistrict transfer requests in accordance with Board Policy FDA(LEGAL) and FDA(LOCAL). While FDA(LEGAL) outlines the state-mandated requirements for admissions, FDA(LOCAL) contains the specific criteria and procedures adopted by our Board of Trustees for processing transfer applications.
