Terry McCutchen, Principal
Spring is fast approaching here at Paradise Intermediate. The first semester is behind us and we are already well into the second semester. As the saying goes, time flies when you are having fun.
We have had a wonderful school year thus far. We have adjusted to the new buildings and schedule, hosted a successful UIL meet, and achieved great things in the classroom. Our goal is to continue that pattern of success after Christmas. With your help, we can accomplish that goal.
There will be several ways to participate this spring semester. We will host our annual "Across the Curriculum" night. This is an opportunity for you and your child to come and enjoy fun activities in all the subject areas. We will also host activities during public school week for parents and grandparents to enjoy. Each grade will have various field trips and activities take place as well. Finally, we will conclude the year with our annual field day and awards assembly. We want to invite you to attend any and all of these activities with your children.
Those are not the only ways to participate, however. You can always volunteer in the classroom, assist in the office, or join the PTO. These are some ways to help out with all the children and teachers, not just your own. Paradise has not reached its level of success without strong and positive community support. Our goal is to continue that level of success and reach to higher achievement levels. However, the best, and most important, way to be involved is in the role of parent. Checking planners and homework and making sure they are returned are invaluable in teaching responsibility to your child. May God bless you this semester.
