Students to Compete at State Fair

Paradise schools will have several students travel to Dallas to compete in the State Fair of Texas. Those students include the following:

September 29 - Goats: Blaine Gibson and Calean Green.

October 2-6 - Steers & Barrows: Blaine Gibson, Gracie Oates, Aubrey Pearson, Calaen Green.

October 10 - Livestock judging: Blaine Gibson, Gracie Oates, Jayden Moody, Danae Meadows, Dustin Meadows, Clint Demmitt.

October 11 - Wildlife Judging: Brody Jones, Will Reeves, Jaeten Rottman, Laura Livesay

October 11-13 - Heifers: Emma Tittor, Lana Tittor, Gracie Oates, Layla Potter and Blaine Gibson

October 18 - Public Speaking: Gracie Oates

October 18-20 - Heifers: Blaine Gibson

October 19-20 - Heifers: Allison Cox

Paradise Does Well at State Event

On June 8, Paradise FFA had four students and one alumna competing at State Proficiency Records. Here is a summary of how our students placed:

Kendall Lisle, 4th in Swine
Ray Edwards, 2nd in Wildlife
Ray Edwards, 1st in Natural Resources, STATE CHAMPION and NATIONAL QUALIFIER, $1,000 Scholarship.

All 3 were recognized at State Convention in July.

American Degree Awards
Kaitlyn Gibson, who will be recognized at National Convention in October.
