We are so excited to announce that Paradise Elementary and Intermediate Schools now have a place for all the community to recycle paper.
FACT: 40% of our landfill waste is paper that can be recycled
For every ton of paper recycled we save…….
7000 gallons of water
4102 kwh electricity
60 lbs of Greenhouse Gases
390 gallons of oil saved
3.3 cubic yards of landfill space diverted
17 fewer trees needed
Helping our natural resources and eliminating tons of trash filling our increasing landfills is exciting enough. However, with every ton of paper that we recycle at our campus, Paradise Elementary will receive funds to use to help beautify our grounds, purchase playground equipment, outdoor benches/tables– equipment, books for educating and informing students about ecology, educational tools, etc.
The two bins are located in the PARKING AREA in FRONT of the ELEMENTARY.
You may only put PAPER PRODUCTS in the bins.
