Beta Club Members Elect Officers

The PJH Beta Club held its first meeting on October 20th.  JD Pearson will serve as president while Austin Garza will serve as vice president.  Mikeala Beck was elected to the office of treasurer, and Josh Barnes will serve as reporter.   The Beta Club is currently raising money for cancer patients.  Pennies for Patients is a fund raiser that allows students the opportunity to collect and donate spare change for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The PHS Band performed in the UIL marching event in Denton.  Many band members are eighth graders.  The band performed selected songs from The Beatles. The band scored a 2 which is excellent.  Unfortunately,  the band did not advance to the next level of competition.
